Dumfries Cycling Club Competition Rules.
Only times completed over registered SCU. or RTTC. Time Trial Courses Shall count towards Club Championships.
Other than the 10mile Midweek evening league events when times on local courses shall count
Towards midweek confined events.
25 Mile Trial Trophy :- shall be awarded to the club member who has the fastest time of the season over the distance.
50 Mile Time Trial Trophy :- shall be awarded to the club member who has the fastest time of the season over the distance.
Road Race Trophy :- this shall be awarded to the highest placed rider from the club in a Road Race held in August or September, the name and date of the specific event, shall be determined by the Club Committee before the start of the racing season
10 Mile Handicap League midweek event :- this shall be awarded to the rider who amasses the highest number of points. This shall be determined from the rider?s best 7 out of 10 events this competition shall be open to all club members
10 Mile Handicap League Ladies midweek event :- this shall be awarded to the female rider who amasses the highest number of points. This shall be determined from the rider?s best 7 out of 10 events
10 Mile Handicap League Veteran on Standard midweek event:- this shall be awarded to the Veteran Rider (over 40) who amasses the highest number of points on Standard. This shall be determined from the rider?s best 7 out of 10 events
Veteran BAR on Standard :- This shall be awarded the Veteran rider who produces the highest Standard average over ?10 & ?25? miles this shall be determined in MPH & adding both average speeds & dividing by 2.
100 Mile Trophy :- this shall be awarded to the Club Member who has the fastest time of the season over the distance.
Middlemarker BAR or Johnston Trophy :- this shall be awarded to the club member who has the highest average over 10, 25 & 50 miles this shall be determined in MPH & adding the average speeds & dividing by 3. The winner of this competition shall not have beaten during the previous three years any of the following times 10 miles 23 mins. 30 sec. 25 miles 1 hour 00 mins. 00 sec. 50 miles 2 Hours 04 mins. 00 sec.
Hill Climb Trophy :- this shall be awarded to the club member who has the fastest time average time or the fastest aggregate average time if there is more than one hill climb event held by the club at the end of the season. This shall be determined by adding the times from both events together & the rider with the fastest average shall be the winner.
Club BAR :- this shall be awarded to the club member who has the fastest average over the three distances of 10 miles 25 miles & 50 miles this shall be determined by adding the average MPH together & dividing by 3 the rider with the highest average shall be declared the winner.
Loreburn Trophy :- This Trophy shall be awarded to the rider who has the best overall placing in the local TLI events, this shall be decided by a points system.
Audax Trophy :- This shall be awarded to the rider who completes the longest Audax as recognized by Audax UK during the season. This competition will include permanence.
The season shall be determined as per SCU BCF rules the last date of Events valid for competition shall be the last Sunday in September
