Vote for better cycling links in Dumfries

Connect2 is an exciting UK-wide project that aims to improve local travel in 79 communities by creating new walking and cycling routes for the local journeys we all make every day.

In Dumfries a new link between the Maxwelltown Cycle path and the Caledonian cycle path is planned.

Who wins will be decided by the public through a TV vote in December. £25 million of Lottery money is up for grabs. Dumfries and other UK wide cycling schemes will be competing against famous national icons such as the Eden Project.
