17 folk set out into the mist heading for Eskdalemuir.  It wasn't long before the sun came out and stayed out all day.  The weather for January could not have been better, and the hilly, often moorland route was seen at its best.  You need to organise more like this Les.

In small groups we arrived at Eskdalemuir and headed up to the Samye Ling temple and the Tibetan tearoom.  It was disappointing not to see sweet tea and yak milk but the coffee, carrot cake and pasties made up for it.  What a fantastic place!  Many had never been there, well worth another visit.

Some legs were beginning to get tired heading back to Lockerbie where half the group went the short way back to Dumfries and others went via Dalton and Bankend making a total distance of 85miles.  Steve and Neil never tired of competing for the green jersey for the 30mph sign sprint!!!  Mossy valiantly trying to sneak one or two. (I am not sure he ever made it, I was always too far back!!!)

John and Doreen set an awesome pace on the tandem, definitely the wheel to follow!!

A great day and a good turnout Thanks Les
